BYC Café

G'morning cafe. Thanks for the coffee Shad. I made a fresh pot, NFC looked like she needs a few more cups.

Hoping for fair weather for everyone today!

My oldest fur baby goes to the beauty parlor this morning, then I drive across the valley for my hatching eggs :celebrateI also have an appointment with my doc for migraines this afternoon and possibly going for a haircut after Igor gets home from the salt mines. I think we're having pizza for dinner tonight.

Have a great great day everyone:frow

Good morning, Café.
Thanks for the fresh pot IM. It sounds like you've got a busy day ahead of you.
Barb's littles are practicing perching. She and all 3 of them had flown up to this perch and they were too cute! And me without my phone. This one was all that was left when I dashed back with it.

Mom is having a difficult time pulling off a convincing turkey impersonation with only two tail feathers. They are all starting their molts. She also has too many legs to be a good turkey doppelganger.

Good morning Tonya!

Good morning! Thanks for the coffee. It is cloudy with rain coming in again. We had a good rain last night as well. DH is waiting for coyotes with rubber buckshot but I think they know he is out there. He is having fun so I guess it is fine. The chickens have definitely changed up their routine
and my roo is healing up fine from his cut but the tail feathers will be something later. Good thing he is getting ready to molt. When the coyote dropped the hen with DH and the rooster running after him, DH picked up the hen and brought it to the back porch and the rooster tracked her down and walked around her body a couple of times before heading back to the coop area. I thought that was interesting. I am not sure that I have had a roo do that before but then again, that was a new experience for this flock.
Enjoy the day! Stay cool or dry or whatever.
