BYC Café

Good morning! :frow
It’s back to work for this gal! Workshops and meetings to prepare for next week’s first day of school! Have a wonderful day everyone!!!! ❤️

How long have you been teaching Tina? Hope you have a good school year! Hey, I just finished reading your BYC interview...nice :thumbsup

Morning, Debby.
Not long after I posted that I ended up racing Fuji to the vet. Straight out of bed. I at least put on jeans but no shoes.
Fuji is severely dizzy and fell out of the bed. Couldn't walk or stand and was arching her head over her back with her legs rigid. Almost like a seizure but she was aware.
The vet I went to was closed. So I went home and wrapped her up in a towel and shoved her in the cat carrier. Took care of the rest of the animals, properly dressed myself and took her to my regular vet. The dizziness has lessened but she still can't walk. They are running blood work now.

Sending best wishes to Fuji. Let us know how she's doing. :hugs

Good morning Cafe.
I've made a pot of coffee if anyone wants some.
I know I'm late. Some major problems this morning. Fortunately not to do with the chickens.

Sorry for the complicated morning Shad, maybe the rest of the day will make up for it.

I hope you find somewhere suitable for Jerry's dogs Mr @sourland .
How's Fuji doing @DobieLover ?
Her blood work call back all normal.
She is still dizzy.
The vet gave me meclizine to treat the vertigo. She just had a dose so I am hoping she will show more improvement by the time I come home at lunch.
She could have a brain tumor or something idiopathic.
They did tell me her heart sounded terrible, sotalol or no.
So I guess I'm at the stage where I just try to keep her quality of life good and treat the symptoms as they arise. Her heart issues preclude any surgeries so the MCT on her chest is staying.
I'm going to lock her in the bathroom with a blanket, water and a potty pad as I don't want her jumping on then falling off the furniture in my absence.
You see? THIS is how my life goes. Yesterday I get a boost and today I get slapped right back down. :barnie

Sorry about Fuji's troubles Dobie. Life can be a roller coaster for sure.

Oh no, I hope she will recover well. That is very scary! Hugs.
