I told the gal I didn't realize you still had to get shots every now and again (ignorance is bliss?) and she mentioned the flu shot. I wasn't really thinking about that one, never had a flu shot. Don't believe I've ever had the flu. Two shots in a year seems a little extreme

By the way, good morning to all! Thanks for the coffee, sure needed it this morning. My husband startled me out of bed at 4:30 and said Stoli had "tree'd" a coon in the barn, so I had to go keep an eye on it while he got his gun. My big bear, still on predator patrol at 11 yrs old. Thank goodness she likes to sleep outside! But, where there is one there is more. I guess it's time to get the traps out

Once you come down with a serious case of flu, those shots don't seem so bad

It's getting to be that time of year. Weather is cooling down and things start looking for meals. And mice try to get in the house (that's the terrifying one to me ).

We're going to be down in the 30's starting tomorrow night. Everyone has been talking about the Almanac's prediction for a nasty winter. Don't know how accurate that is, but hope it isn't true.
