Have a good weekend with your son Debby.:)

Thanks Shad, he should be here soon. He's going to stay long enough to take a trip with me up to see Devil's Monument in NE Wyoming. If you ever saw the movie "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" then you've seen it there.

Money has the worst reputation.

I heard a news report a long time ago that said something like 25% of all paper currency had traces of cocaine on it.

I have seen a couple porcupines and quite a few skunks. Smell than more often than you see them

Porcupines and skunks here too. The scariest live thing I've seen (3 times so far) was badgers...those things will seriously mess up anything!

When we bought our house and started working on it to get it habitable, I frequently saw mice running along the top of the poured concrete basement wall.

Another day I rescued a toad that had fallen into the basement.

I had to replace some shut off valves and reroute some plumbing on the incoming water line and had left some black plastic pipes cut open. I found a garter snake inside one and took it outside and then left for lunch. When I came back the same snake was crawling along the basement wall. I guess it really wanted to be inside the house!

When I was measuring the basement window ROs for new windows from outside the house, I pulled the aluminum siding out from the house and had three garter snake drop out.

Oh, and then there were the dark eyed juncos that kept building a nest inside the kitchen wall when we were gutting the house.

I also found an old honey bee nest between the walls when I tore the drywall off between the end bedrooms.

This is some prime piece of real estate we're talking about here!!

Aah, just part & parcel with nature there Dobie :p Actually, none of those things bother me except the mice (and rats).

Oh my gosh... ADORABLE!!! :love

Very adorable. But not so much when they persisted in trying to build a nest in the wall framing where the old stove fan was! They also ground nested in front of the garage before I had the driveway paved.

Silly woman...you have a headless chicken and a one eyed avatar

Are you by chance located close to where the nuclear bombs have been tested?

We had a huge honey bee nest and lots of honey inside the soffits of our log cabin. Flying squirrels live in the roof during winter, bats live in the front porch roof, and we have a skink that lives under the door frame. We have an invasion of stink bugs every fall. Also have birds building nests in various cracks and crevices.

We have a ladybug invasion every all. They die off during the winter. I ought to try to find a way to feed them so they can survive until spring.
