Good. Dad with mum and chicks is one of my favorite sights. It doesn't always happen like that here. Some mums won't let dad near for a few days. Some roosters show little interest after they've imprinted the chicks. The bantam roosters here have a much better record in helping with chick care than the Marans and crosses.

It's just started to get to normal autumn temperatures.
I've built a fire in the stove twice to take the chill off the house.

Yeah we’re starting to too. Although today was really warm.

We’ve turned the heat on a couple times but not much. Mostly just did like one or two nights last week when it was really cold but then it went back to being warm.

In my room I never turn the heat on

But sometimes the main floor gets really cold especially the kitchen.

Oh wow that sounds awful!! Totally miserable!! I have to dog sit later this week and one of them is very high drive, high energy, kinda spazzing, never chills, type so I don’t know how I’m going to tire her out when it’s literally supposed to rain all day every day this week.

I’ll figure it out though. Maybe some training games or hide and seek or something.
