BYC Café

Morning! I am dog sitting so I must be heading out here in a bit. I had catsup when I was a kid and then somehow morphed into an "adult" using ketchup on my food and basically I need to ketchup on most all of my various responsibilities atm...., sigh.
Have a wonderful day you All!

Good morning, Margie! Well said! :p

Good morning, Cafe.
We had a hard frost last night.
DH's daughter and her family are coming for a visit this weekend.
I tried to convince her that tomorrow is better for us than today because today I am back to the walkway work. I have to haul in and move about 2 tons of material today to get the walkway prepared for finishing on Monday. I think I may be a bit tired and sore after this. I certainly will be in no mood for cooking so I intended to take DH to the Apple Dumpling Cafe at Apple Hills. It's a lovely place atop a hill where the orchards are. You can dine with your doggies on the outside deck and enjoy truly home cooked food. The views will be wonderful today as when the fog burns off, it will be sunny and we are pretty much at peak color.
I need to pick up a plate compactor on the way home and my friends that were with me when Ben passed invited us up for a little Dobie time with Shadow and some dinner. This does not leave time for the daughter to visit IMHO. She said tomorrow from 11-1 would be just as well but then sent me a text this morning asking about coming after brunch for a visit. I don't think she really understands what is going on here today.

Sounds like a jam-packed weekend Dobie. Don't forget to share pictures on the completed walkway with us! (And be careful with your back lady!)

Sounds great DL. I haven't been out for a meal in ages.
I get a similar problem regarding arrangements here. Some people just do not understand that when you are responsible for other animals there are particular times of day unrelated to what a clock says that you need to be there.

The Apple dumpling Cafe sounds like a wonderful place to go! I love animal friendly places. Sounds like you've got a lot going on. I hope you can get your projects accomplished!

Morning, all! Bright and sunny here but only about 30° right now. Have got to get coops cleaned today before the weather really sets in. I've been waiting for this darn cough to subside... But it's hanging on for dear life.

Hoping everyone has a fabulous weekend!

She can help you shovel stuff while she visits!

Just a heads up Meg, we had some snow flurries this morning! Nothing lasting, at this point but it's coming for sure.

Sorry about the lingering cough. I think it took a solid 2 weeks +/- for mine to clear up.

Gotta run to town, later!

When I had the dogs I used to add gravel to the runs every year. It was quite a spectacle.
The redwood security fence was just far enough from the run gates, that I could squeeze a loaded wheelbarrow. I had to put down a "sidewalk"?? of cheap masonite boards so I could push over the rock already on the ground.

Three wheel barrows full of pea gravel for each run. As soon as it piled up in a hill, the dogs would come out and poop at the top. I had to drop everything and scoop away poo before I could continue. Then I would just use a foot to spread the stones. Yes, and more poo. Had two dogs in each run.

Ugh snow :p We were supposed to get some this morning but must've lucked out!

I don't know why those coughs hang on like they do. A real pain in the buns.

Hope you're doing something fun in town!
