Omg, you crushed the sciatic nerve? That must have been dreadfully painful! :hugs
It was the worst pain of my life for the thee days it took for the nerve to die. Then not pain but paralyzed right leg from the knee down. Most has come back though because peripheral nerves regenerate. The sciatic nerve is the longest in the body so it takes years for the nerve to re tunnel down to the big toe.

I had spinal stenosis surgery so the nerve is not being re injured

It has been 10 years so far and I still have about 70% foot drop and a weak right toe. It is still getting better though! Maybe by the time I hit 70 it will be all back

Oh my goodness. I didn't know such a thing was possible! That sounds absolutely awful.

Morning, everyone! Looks like it's going to be a nice day around here. Started at 28° and headed for 51°. Not supposed to get snow until next week, and even then the temps aren't too bad.

Sorry to hear that you are ill, @DobieLover. Hoping it's not a hang'er on'er :fl

Good luck on your doctor search, @N F C ! The good ones seem to be pretty few and far between :(

@Shadrach what do you suppose is wrong with the chick? Was that blood in the picture?

My nerve injury was between third and fourth degree. The surgery was to remove the pressure on the nerve
