I have some of that empathy too Sour, so I understand. I dislike some folks, mainly ones that disliked me without even knowing me. But, there is no one I would want harmed or wished ill will. But as they say 'haters gonna hate." And their "hate" buddies go along with them.

ANGRY/FRUSTRATED/SAD - I have two adopted Asian grand daughters. I forget that they are not white - they are just my beloved grand daughters. Knowing human nature I worried what they might face from the world being raised in a Caucasian family. It's been great. Both have friends in a spectrum of religions/colors/genders, and have never been faced with overt racism - until now. Apparently there has been an outbreak of racism at the university the younger is attending. She was initially scared, but is now pissed as is her grand father. I so wanted to protect them from the nastiness of the world. That was hopeless given the nature of man. I can only hope that reality does not change her outlook on life.

The Princess tells me that it is just part of life, but it is a part that I have always despised. She also tells me that GD is okay.

I have to join the ones who commend you I have turned into huge empathetic simpering goofball Vent all you like as we all like you you all allot and the grand daughters are lucky to have family like you

I'm sorry to hear this, Sour. Those people are just a bunch of mindless nut bags and, unfortunately, were either taught to be that way or are sheep.
