My husband was carrying a heavy door at work into someone's pickup and fractured his back, broke his collar bone, and broke 4 ribs. The door locked his butt, his foot caught on something going from the loading dock to the back of the pickup. He said he was stupid for doing it himself!

Yeah he had to be out of work for almost a year and he's the type that can't sit still... It was rough!

I've got one for the stupid ways I've injured myself...
DH and I won an assembled kitchen set at a building supply auction. We rented a large box truck to bring the cabinets home. I was down on the box truck, DH was up on the loading dock.
We were lowering a double drawer base cabinet with soft close drawers. Face first. The close mechanism let go of the first drawer and hit me in the temple. I jerked my head back and the second drawer let loose and hit me in the same spot. I ended up with a concussion.

It was a big FAIL at the DMV.
After waiting outside in the shade in line at about 20F temperatures for about 15 minutes, then another 20 minutes inside, the lady at the information desk informed me that the birth certificate that I had for DH was issued from the hospital, not the state of PA and that it also had to have the raised seal on it.
The other document I left at home is a registration of birth with no raised seal. Great.
They didn't issue birth certificates with raised seals until 1975.
We just put the application for a certified birth certificate in the mail. No way will we have it or the non-driver photo ID by Wednesday for the surgery. I'll have to call the hospital and explain what we have in the way of proof of identification and hope they will accept it.

It's pretty good! There are 5 roosters out there and the big girls are keeping them in their place...for now.

The stupidest injury I endured was when getting out of bed, I sneezed so hard, it threw my back out...very painful for a few days.

I heard you stepped on a water bottle and broke your leg.
