Me too. I was delighted to find all the old Callan spy series on you tube. Sometimes the quality is awful. They were shot on video but the quality of the writing & acting means it doesn't really matter. I wish the standard was still so high!

Good detective series ran in the UK called A Touch Of Frost. The detective was called Jack Frost. It's worth looking up.

I found the series on Amazon prime but would need to pay a subscription to britbox-- $6.99 per month subscription

Death in Paradise is formulatic & highly predictable ~ if you enjoy trying to work these things out. The Brits do detectives with angst rather well. And they like single namers. Morse was very good too.

Formulaic and highly predictable? Agreed, but so was Agatha Christie; didn't stop her from being popular. I find most 'whodunnit" series predictable; when you see the right familiar name/face, it's like, "well, they wouldn't waste a name that big on a cameo, so he's got to be the bad guy. Who's he gonna kill and why?"

Morse was very good. I believe the writer killed him off to keep anyone else from trying to take him over; the Inspector Lewis series has the same characters, but it's a disappointment.

The hernia area is where the spermatic cord leaves the abdomen. Fluid build up from the surgical sites drain south and land in the nether regions. Sounds terribly uncomfortable.

Be prepared for possible color change.

Agreed. Though I was never a Christie fan. Mostly terrible characterisation. Lewis is terrible. The lead actor just doesn't have the same charisma. It's hard to keep the standard high it seems.

Sorry for the late reply.
We're still in the hospital. Surgery went very well. DH is quite clear headed but sore.
The surgeon has warned DH to expect swelling in the nether regions. Up to twice the normal size. Gads! He said no boxers, gotta wear briefs. I'll be out shopping for tighty whities after I get him settled in at home.

I am so glad they where able to still do the surgery hope you success finding tighty whities
