I have since proved her wrong with a convection stove top.

 Never ! Blasphemy. :rant
I usually don't even buy corn on the cob unless it's summertime. Corn holds no nutrient value to me, it just tastes good but it doesn't do anything beneficial for my body.

The husk tends to protect it from drying out no convection oven I have learned I love
but guess did not know they where making convection stove ours in gas two burners are hot actually larger but have refrained from appliances smarter than me :lau:celebrate

I wish that we had too. Periodically this stove top goes on a rampage flashing numbers and refusing to behave. First happened as I was prepping for a Thanksgiving. I thought it was the ghost causing problems as he/she does not like turmoil in the house. I will jinx myself now and say that the stove has been on good behavior for a bit. When it does act up, I shut off the breaker and give it a 'time out'. The manufacturer has no idea as to what is going on with it.

You should talk to @igorsMistress about curries...she makes some killer looking ones!
I'm eating a rather nice mixed sweet and plain potato, chickpea spinach curry atm. :)
Have to hold my hands up to using a curry paste though.

Growing up I had a friend that lived in India, but she moved to Maine and we became really good friends. I went over to their house for dinner and her mom made the best curry I've ever tasted in my life.

I liked eating at their house because they never had meat
I don't know what your experience was like but when I've had curries cooked by Indians they've been nothing like the western curries.
