I feel like I am not alone in this thread with my medical issues, it is so hard to find people who understand medical issues.

Sometimes I just want somebody to listen and not pity me, I just want somebody to actually listen to how I feel and nothing more!

Usually when I tell people what's going on they always say oh I'm so sorry or something similar and I don't want the pity party. I just want somebody to actually listen! I think that's the hardest part when you have medical issues is just having a listening ear and not somebody who will interrupt you!

For me, when I've lost one that was so special, another can't take it's place. But a new one brings it's own brand of special.

Everyone is different of course. I had a friend that lost her long-time tea cup poodle and she almost immediately got a new one. She was sorry later, she admitted she only got the new one to fill the hole the old one left. And it couldn't.

This is why we don't have a Lab or JRT.

I get it totally IM. That's why I'll not have another Westie. Already had the best one possible, there's no way she could ever be replaced with a substitute.
I get mixed dogs so it'll be hard to ever get the same mix. Only purebred I have ever had is Lucy who is a beagle. She's 7 years old on Sunday, but I do know that they live for a long time.
