I'm glad I'm not at work in a way. I'm watching one of the hardest things I have to deal with in chicken keeping. This is father and son; Cillin (father) on the left, Treacle (son) on the right. These fights happen.:( While I can stop the fights by heavy interference it doesn't resolve the problem and if one of them does get seriously injured, which does happen, it's better to deal with them earlier rather than later.
The worst outcome is one of them gets killed. The next worst is one gets driven out of the tribe if they will not back down but keep losing. This has happened a couple of times and one doesn't get left with many options.
It may seem irresponsible to let them fight it out but over the years of trying to deal with this I've found it is the best option. Otherwise one has to go or be confined. I would rather not have to do either.
After about half an hour of intermittent scrapping Treacle ran. Fortunately Cillin seems content with this and both are in the house with the hens. Hopefully that's it. I'll learn more at roost time.

We are dealing with no heat :barnielast night I told husband that I was very cold and I realized that the heater is not working.

Someone is on their way to hopefully fix it and husbands boss told him to leave early so that he can take care of me.

Hope they get you fixed up quickly!
