Thanks, Lady! It's definitely a learning experience, but it's been pretty fun. I tend to enjoy doing solitary things. I had painted the frame white a couple years ago, but now I'm thinking I might try to find a matte blue to go with the colors in the fabric. Any thoughts?

I'm not keen on altering the dogs appearance or breeding to a standard of perfection with any creature. Maybe that's because if they start doing it to humans I would have been killed.

I think that would be pretty! I like matte finishes for this type of thing. Is the frame all metal? What about the table, do you have to do that as well?

Have to agree, Penny. I've had no registered pups for that reason. My dad has had four St. Bernards die at 6 yrs or younger due to (seemingly) genetic issues. All pure bred registered. I'm not saying all people who breed registered pups are con artists, but some most certainly are. Either that or they don't know what the hell they're doing. Very sad, in any case.

Our yellow lab we adopted was registered, though. We loved him up from 8yrs to 12yrs, when he died of a twisted stomach.

My breed of preference is obvious. I will not buy a puppy. I would never breed so all my animals are sterilized at the correct age after bone growth is complete if they aren't already sterilized at adoption.
I've had 2 Dobies with natural ears and 3 that were cropped. I get what I get at adoption. I go for personality and temperament match to my household. The guy I'm looking at this Friday is cropped. But he's young, submissive, lives with 2 cats and a 6 pound dog. That puts him in good running for a potential fit.

My poor brother had to put down his pit/x this weekend. He was 15. They have 3 kids, so it's been rough for them the last couple days. Losing pets is an awful thing.

It is always painful to lose a dog. It doesn't matter the age. I'm sorry for your brother and his family.

Yep it's all metal and has the wooden arm and foot rests (re-stained dark walnut). I definitely have to do the table, it's that same pretty orange-ish brown as the arm/foot rests are on the old chair Yeek.

I hope this one works out for you. Sounds like he'd fit right in with your bunch! That'd be awesome. Will you take pictures when you meet him? I'd love to see. Also, appreciated hearing your thoughts on the matter.

Okay dropped off cookies at the post office and city hall understand city hall is two gals always did them as Dad loved getting them he worked for the Seattle post office Ma called it a part time job that paid full time I think the brittany's are a breed that still is great
I grew up with papillon loved the breed never bought another new I could replace her have respect and fun for many breeds a few favorites
