BYC Café

Me too! :love
Her registered name is (I'm not joking):
Thou Shalt Not Kill Sweet Betty di Altobello. Her former call name was Betty. Naw. Doesn't work for me.
She turned 4 on Aug 15, has had 3 litters, all C-section and now has the body to prove it (we will not judge her or stare at her saggy boobies), and she's out of shape and pudgy. Her litter mate sister and a Bull dog breeder bitch where she came from scarred up her face and legs. But she is so sweet! She kissed everyone she's met including the cat! :love:love:love
Got there in the end DL.:)

That's so sweet & a little sad.:hugs Once she settles in I will be very curious to know when she does it. Will it be a normal, soothing bedtime thing or only when shes nervous? Please keep us posted.

My friend had a cat that would curl up & suck its tail to put himself to sleep. She said he had been weened too early, but it was THE CUTEST THING. He'd get up from a nap all casual like he hadn't been doing it, but the tip of his tail would be all wet. :lau

I texted the former owner and she said she's done it since she got her and that her sister and several of their pups have done it in their new homes. And I did discover it's yet another "Doberman thing".

She seems to be most prone to doing it when she can see the cat but cannot approach. It could be her way of letting out frustration as well. So far, she is just sucking on her bed. I really don't want her to start ripping it up. But for the next week or so, she's going to either be in the crate or tied to me. She is not allowed to roam around the house.

And I mentioned she's smart? She is already picking up on the fact that she has to wait until I allow her to enter and exit. Door open does not mean you can go through.
She only needed 2 reminders to wait when I fed her breakfast this morning.
