Good afternoon Cafe

Brewed a fresh pot if anyone is interested?
The last two nights we have had a mild freeze here, 29° Monday night and 31° this morning. Suppose to get rain New Years day. and only around 50°F.

I'd offer to trade weather with you but you'd only turn me down on my generous offer It was -2* this morning and the high will be about 23*. This is no way to start off a new year!

Even though the metric system was introduced in the UK many years ago, I didn't properly adapt. There are some units I still use the Imperial system for.
The metric system is far easier to work with imo but if you've been brought up and studied with one system I think making the transfer to another can be difficult.

I think ours is derived from the imperial system? The only metric dealings I have is with nuts/bolts sockets/wrenches. We had to order some british standard thread hydraulic fittings for a screening plant we used to have. Didn't know there was such a thing until then.

I'm getting a late start - tried earlier - then bus came this morning - got a real workout hunting outdoor shopping mall for bargains - found NONE. Slept disappointment over ,until a few minutes ago. Got mail - discovered that today I finally met Medicare deductible for this year. With one day left to run up a new doctor bill.

Good morning Cafe. I am awake for some odd reason, thinking it must be the steroids.
The weather is cooling down, only up to 50s forecast for today. Still not bad for getting some stuff done outside. I want to try out my new monster chop saw. And plant a couple things. Maybe pull some weeds....clean the house...

It is great that you are feeling better!

I was up at 6 this morning to pick up my Youngest DD from work. I did just pull a loaf of sour dough bread out of the oven so it was productive time!
