We have had some heavy rain today

It ok for now since the rivers are not flooding and the lakes still have room.

I have not seen any news about mud slides but they can happen in heavy rain

What's the elevation up there? Was it visibility or ice? I hate driving in the snow...

It is about 6000 feet and caltrans is telling people to slow down and be careful

It may not seem like a big deal, but to Bella it's a huge deal to be walking through a wooded path off leash and not glued to my leg.

She met my mom and nephew today and gave both of them kisses.
Yesterday, DH watched her open the front door and go out on the porch. Oh, she's going to be a challenge when she really develops some confidence.

Yes but they'd ship her off to Serbia! It's a European chip in her shoulder. I'm taking her in this Sunday to get an American chip between her shoulder blades.
That ought to confuse the hell out of the next person who scans her with a universal scanner.
She won't stray far from me and if she does, she'll make a bee-line for the car. Where I take them is far away from any traffic.
