BYC Café

Now that would be neat!
I would love to have the full tour of the construction Meg, but I understand it's your home.
It looks really interesting and there are so many things about it I would like to know.
If your husband designed and built it you have a far sighted and imaginative man on your hands. I would love to talk to him.

Was it windy near you? I was passed out and didn't even notice neither did the beagle. We got a new soft Sherpa blanket from Sam's. We were snuggled up and soft as a pug on a rug or a pug in an ugg :D
Yeah, we had so much wind I was afraid to go out because most of our land is wooded and we have lots of dead pines. Branches fall a lot.

Would that be a yak?

You bet!! Only 1 degree F warmer than here though that 27°F at 8 AM was our high for the day. Supposed to bottom out about 12°F from 1 AM to 7 AM then slowly warm to a high of 27°F at 4 PM tomorrow.

Sunrise? What is sunrise? Freezing rain overnight and this morning, now in an almost ground level cloud. We should get a sunrise tomorrow though.
A trip to visit Spanish relatives could be good at this point in the year.:D

Hello cafe. I hope you're all having a great day!

@DobieLover I'm following up to tell you how my experience was with slaughtering a rooster today.

My husband uses a filet knife and I asked him to tell me how hard I had to push while slicing. He said to imagine cutting through our commercial grade garden hose and he was right. I haven't got a lot of strength in my hands due to arthritis, but I could see the veins in the neck and was able to cut through the artery. There wasn't any struggling from the bird. I had his head in one hand and stretched out the neck, then sliced. I was disappointed that I couldnt cut the head off, but with practice I might be able to.

I hope that explains it sufficiently. Have a great day!
Kitchen shears can help if you can squeeze them with the arthritis!

I thought of that. We've come to an agreement though...Igor will kill, I'll pluck. I just needed to do it at least once. Personal goal.
It's not a lot of fun is it? I understand why you felt you had to do it thought.
I would encourage anybody who eats meat to do the same.
