I'm very close with my dad. I know if anything happens to him I will be the one to care for him. I'm the kid that always is there for him and I respect him a lot. It's hard to watch what age does.

I fear getting older sometimes. I turn 33 soon 🙈

For some reason I hated 30. Now at 78 I treasure every day. My mother lived to be 97 and was pleasant and well liked till the instant she died. One of her many sayings was, "Getting old is no sin, but acting old is." There's a lot of truth in that. I tend to be rather blunt and that sometimes offends people, but I never go out of my way to hurt or antagonize others. I also do not tolerate that from others. At this point in life I simply walk away from abrasive people. If someone threatens something important to me, well that's another story.

A LOT of wisdom in that post, Sour.

My husband is older than me by 15 years so there's a huge difference between us. He still looks in his 30s though.

I think acting your age is a bad idea because the younger you act the longer you live in my experience.

My great grandmother lived until she was 99 and she was months away from hitting 100. She was quite the lady and a blessing to have in my life.

My grandfather passed away at 53 and he was cranky, but I remember the sweet side of him that no one else got except me. He absolutely adored me, but I did see the bad side of him towards others like his home nurses.
