I have 14+ chicks. I haven't counted them yet. It's been a very stressful hatch and a very heartbreaking one. I have 2 blind chicks from 2 different farms. One has cleft eyelids and the other has bulging eyeballs.

I've been emotionally drained. Probably most people don't get that way over chicks, but I'm an animal person so it's hard for me to turn that off.

I actually once save a chipmunk that was drowning in a puddle during a hurricane. I kept it for a few weeks until it was healthy then I released it.

I'm sorry you're having a rough time kiddo. I would say all of us here really love our animals lots too, so we understand

Well, I went to the Doctor today. I guess I have bronchitis, I wasn't feeling good, until I arrived home and was greeted at my car, by my lovely flock of chickens. All wanted to see what I was up to. They are sooo sweet!

I hope you feel better soon! The cough can last a long time though

I'm just glad they're from other farms eggs and not my own. I'd be more upset if it came from my farm. My breeding stock is amazing so defects like that would make me upset.

I usually get on here and do a bunch of reading....which is not a bad thing, but I thought it might be nice to get to know a few folks. Thought the cafe' would be a good place to start.

Yes...it is. Someone we know had the dog in the car and apparently the kids left a chip bag on the floor in the back. The person stopped at the store and came out to find their dog had suffocated.

Doing just fine, thank you for asking IM. Nothing fun planned....still packing boxes...I see cardboard in my future for the next several weeks! Then PAINTING!! UGH
How about you....plans for today?

UGH, I hate packing!
I'm working, I work from home, then chores, dinner...nothing new lol.
