BYC Café

thanks Shad; ready for another one now, to go with my hot cross buns :p
I haven't had a proper hot cross bun for years. There used to be a bakery in Bristol that did superb HCB and along with the buns sold slightly salted Irish butter.:drool

we Welsh do salted butter as a national treasure of course :p
hot cross buns are very variable; there is one bakery near here that does outstandingly good ones, and for which, when the kids were little, I used to get up early and queue at Easter. I've even had a go at making them, but they were no better than average so not worth the faff, I decided. The ones I've just eaten were pretty mediocre, so you're not really missing much :)

I have heard of some with mountain lions in the area taking a shot gun out with them. A stick might not be enough to ward them off
Such an irritation for me. People live in their territory, not the other way around. If you don't want your purse pooch eaten don't live in lion country.

Morning! I obviously do not stress about mountain lions. They shot that one by the way. It is a rare occurrence to even see one in reality but the sick and deranged animals, two and four, always seem to take up the news and get attention and therefore seem to be many...
So I guess this will be my only Cafe for a few weeks, not that I was a cafe party animal before, lol! Here is my Spring day weather. .. "Patchy freezing drizzle before 7am, then patchy snow showers and freezing drizzle between 7am and 10am, then snow showers after 10am. Patchy fog before noon. "
Hot cross buns and coffee sounds great! Thanks and be safe too!

Maybe true for Bobcats but Mt. Lions kill people walking from the house to the coop. They are much bigger. Of course having mt. lions around you might be a reason to have an LGD!
