Bella must have overheard me telling DH that all the hair salons in NY are closed until further notice. So she decided to do Mogwai's hair for her. It's sticking up a little but Bella thinks she looks great now.

Ha. Poor Bella. It's as if she thinks if she keeps trying, one day Mogwai will reciprocate. Does the cat tolerate her more than she did at first?

She is not only no longer afraid of going in the tall grass, she now understands it holds many secrets worth digging for!

Woke up to this this morning

I'm kinda over the whole snow thing for this winter. Ours is mostly melted off except in the shaded areas. Now getting mushy mud.

That may well be the post of the day. One day our daughter explained that the reason she and our son had not found committed relationships was because ours was so perfect. Our response was, "Where have we gone wrong that they don't realize that this is work - one day at a time."

Can anyone explain that when being solitary seems so natural being told that you must be solitary is a burden ? First day of total state shutdown is today. Governor says to defy will grant a disorderly conduct citation. Beagle club is .4 miles away. I will go there.

Interesting question which I won't attempt to answer.
One of the main house members who is also finding the restrictions difficult asked me today how I have managed. He has suddenly realised how I live and have for the past ten years.
I found it very difficult to explain how ones expectations of life and how ones self image dictate reactions to solitary living. He doesn't even live on his own and has three others to talk to in the main house.
I did mention that if he didn't think he and his life were so desperately important he might cope better.
