BYC Café

Good morning, Cafe. Thanks for the coffee, Shad.

It's a very nice day here. I awoke to bright blue skies and sunshine with a light frost. So that also means I slept late! Man did I need that. I also found that it worked out well when tending the chickens and the shaggy linebacker was too hungry to worry about giving me attitude! Instead he just stuffed his face in the feed trough and left me to my business.

I'm having a difficult time trying to even give away eggs let alone sell them. I have 11.5 dozen in the refrigerator. Not sure what I'm going to do about this...

afternoon/morning all :frow Thanks for the coffee Shad.

I have experienced two positives today from this grim situation we are all in:

1. Went to the feed shop this morning; stunned to find the 'best before' date on the bags of grain I buy is 12 September 2020! It's normally about 2 months ahead. I guess people stocking up cleared the stores so we're getting really fresh now.

2. What was also noticeable driving home was how clear the air is; it's a really familiar route, so it's obvious when you can see things in the distance that you can't normally see.

I'm surprised at your egg situation @DobieLover; I'd have thought demand would be higher than ever :idunno

I'm doing good today. I got my hair cut and my nails done. That always makes me feel good. I took my husband clean clothes today. Since they moved him to another room on a different wing the CNA's open the blinds and bring him over to the window. They even open the window so we can talk. It's really nice. I was delivering eggs today and had an extra dozen and gave it the CNA helped me today.
We can't go out and get a haircut here! Sadly the rest of the Country should be sheltering in place too.

I need a haircut but unless I give myself one, I will have to wait until May 1st. or later. Our county is under Quarantine until then but it could be extended

Good morning Cafe. It hasn't quite reached good status here but it is better then yesterday.
Coffee is made.
Tea bags and kettle on the counter.
Thanks Shad!

It is windy today with rain starting late on Friday. Coffee sounds very good!
