I just finished candling Kerrie's clutch. I've never done that before and have to admit it was pretty cool.
All appear to be developing. She's doing a great job and didn't even peck me. Just watched me and kept settling back on the eggs as I gently returned them to her after whispering to each one that if they developed any male characteristics I would eat them.

One day the friend came home and saw evidence that someone had tried to break into his house. He went in and nothing seemed amiss but his poor Dobie was hacking and gagging so he rushed him to the vet. Upon examination of the dog, he was found to be choking on a human finger!

Okay. He didn't tell it like it was a story and the guy did raise Dobies.

I know I had one who would have gladly removed a digit from any intruder but thankfully never had the opportunity.

Candling is one of the funnest parts of incubating eggs!

The pair of eggs I took from my silky brought them in called the Son in to look with me both had veining and movement .. put both in my lager incubator

Why is it that I don't mind the damage the chickens do to my plants? I seem to be prejudiced against slugs

BUT when I changed the bandage there was a bit of blood on it so it's draining.

Put it in a vice, close your eyes and turn the handle.

If you're going to have a prejudice then slugs seems pretty reasonable to me.
