It is foggy and drizzly out there today so guess what? We are not chainsawing trees down and we get a day of rest to do inside chores.

Yeah, that's him. He may do a bit less because he's already had 2 or 3 hernia surgeries down there.

5 are marans eggs okay staggered hatch but a few days .. The Marans is a daily layer

my Eve has gone broody, and I got the eggs under her, so we're on for a hatch on the 23rd or thereabouts

she's got 10 Penny: 6 Araucana eggs and 4 Welsummers. I have no idea who the daddy/daddies is/are, or even if they are fertile, so it's a real long shot here, but when you're dependent on broodies, as I am, you have to take your chances when they come along!
