BYC Café

Morning and thanks for the coffee! It got to 34 last night and they are saying snow showers on Sat. night. Oh well, at least I do not have much planted yet. Snow showers and rain on Memorial Day too... Oh, well I guess it will chase away the virus-carrying, mountain enjoying, never say die, party going types. And I do not need to worry about them burning down the forest this time. How is that for a "Scrooge" take? LOL!
Enjoy the day!

hi all :frow.

Thanks for the coffee DL; tea is worth trying, as it can be very refreshing. I don't think I've ever found coffee to be refreshing; it's more like a zap 👾 to me
I do have a cup of tea from time to time. I'm one of those types that isn't that strongly affected by the caffeine in the coffee. I really enjoy the flavor.

This morning's run with the dogs was spirit soothing for me.

I finally saw my first Bobolinks for the season. They are one of my very favorites with their melodious song and striking plumage.

I also had the pleasure of witnessing a murder of crows harassing a raven. As the cacophony was building with the arrival of sub-groups of crows I was trying to get to the site to see if they were after the fox I'd seen several nights prior. That is when I saw the raven burst out of the tree canopy with at least a dozen crows on it's tail. They all displayed quite the aerial acrobatics before the raven made it's escape.

I heard and saw red winged black birds, gold finches, cat birds, blue birds, cardinals and tree swallows all under a bright blue, cloudless sky with a warm breeze. As we were coming out of the woods on the new trail, I heard some deer snort and run off. We saw them darting across the field when we came back into that area. They looked to be a group of yearlings.

I hope you all enjoy your days with whatever you have planned. I'm off to get the garden beds in order.
