BYC Café

Bella let me know that the poultry netting is functioning well.
I had her out while I was working on the gardens. She likes to run around the garage to watch the chickens. The next thing I know I hear her screaming and she comes flying back around the garage heading down the driveway as if she intends to run away she was so scared. Poor girl. She's physically fine. I've hit that fence more than once. It's got kick for sure.

We managed a picture tonight the Son and I shows 7 out 8 is zipped

It's been hot here today. Lie down and see what it's like later kind of hot.
Two small holdings on the next mountain went bust this week. Both these smallholdings were entitled to government support but the money never came. They've been waiting since March. They've had to kill all their animals. lock up and move in with relatives.
The young man who took the three young chickens told me today that nobody he knows in his age group has received any of the money the government promised; that's about 30 people who worked in the circus.
I am so sick of seeing smug politicians on the net talking about doing this and doing that and very little of it actually happens.
that's sad about the neighbors on the next mountain. Many govts seem to have a serious implementation problem.
How are things going with the people in the big house now? Are they pestering you less? Going back to work? Doing something useful?

That's a very generous analysis.:gigIt's called incompetence in my circles. The proof of this is that other governments seem to be able to make a far better job of what I grant is a difficult situation. One very simple solution here would have been to pay through the existing companies. The infra structure is already there. It's relatively easy to do through the existing tax system. It just requires a simple reversal. Instead of taking money they give money. It's been done like this in other countries.

The people in the big house are starting to realize this isn't going to be over with quickly. They don't pester me as a rule; just irritate me.
None of them will be returning to work in the foreseeable future. One is working from home and one other is working part time now.
I had to laugh. The guy who owns the property NW of here is a lawyer. He's a defense lawyer employed by the state and works in criminal law. He told be yesterday he doesn't have any work because the lockdown has drastically reduced the crime level in the area he covers.

Good morning Cafe. Thanks for the coffee Shad.

The lockdown has made life very difficult for old schools crooks round here; for example police say they've intercepted a lot more drugs etc than usual because these people are so much more visible than they are usually. But cyber crime has rocketed. Lots of newbies doing things online... I dread to think how many millions have been lost. Even the Dept paying benefits reckons it could have lost £1.5 bn (!) to fraudsters :th

Good morning Cafe. I am meeting someone to sell chicks today. Have a super day. I am hoping to see the sun today, 8 plus inches of rain in the last couple days has me sick of it.

Good morning, Cap and Happy Anniversary! :love
I hope you have a dry sunny day today.
When you sell chicks, do people always want them as babies or do you have a customer base for started pullets?
