Okasy so not knowing if others are interested but at 60 I get to process cockerel as we hatch

The tree work is complete at my dad's house.
Yesterday I texted the owner of the company, Ed, and asked if I could bring a pizza for the work crew for lunch and he gladly accepted. I also gave him an extra $40 just for a nice round number.
As we were going over the work list again I commented on a scraggly looking pine that my mom had dad plant way too close to the towering white pines. Ed said "I can just pluck that out of the ground and run it through the chipper shredder". That tree was at least 22' tall. I asked "how much more?" He said "eh, you gave us a pizza, I'll just do it"! Great guy. He is also available to help with all the work that my neighbor thus far has failed to do. If he isn't at that house this weekend, I'm saying nothing to him and hiring Ed.
My neighbor has had more than enough time to do the work and I'm just done waiting around for him.

Thanks! I love them to bits. Chirk is the spitting image of his dad Sven, except he has bright yellow legs, and he has the same lovely nature. Usk is a tree hugger, which came in handy when the fox came. She got to the top of the mulberry tree!

A quick update on the boys: Obelix has his head up this morning
I think they're both gonna make it

I may need to lower the service standards in order to get Sven to check out of the hospital; when I lifted him out to change the towel, he stepped back in before I'd even got it down

Coffee is made. Green tea a and kettle are on the counter. No sugar and now no tea bags either. Maybe next week.

I'm waiting for Getafix to show up

The letter G is already taken (by Gigi) but I love your thinking! The hatch started yesterday but I've not yet got a glimpse (Eve is sitting tight) so I don't know how many or what yet. I give home grown chicks Welsh place names, so we're looking at Ruthin, Kenfig, Harlech, Narberth and Wrexham. Although both L and Y are available, I think I'll pass on Ystradgynlais, not to mention Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch ...

Now that is great news! I'm so glad that they are making a recovery.
