BYC Café

When I did head count at lock up, I was short one chick. I found Malcolm dead in the run. He was fine when I left today. I have no idea what happened to him. I inspected his body and couldn't find any wounds. He was cold and stiff so I don't know if his neck was broken. So sad. :(

Sorry you lost him

DW won't touch a mashed white potato any more than she will touch peanut butter. DD2 doesn't eat cooked vegetables as a rule or even raw; pretty much limits to sweet peppers and the occasional green bean.
I put carrots into last nights Shepherd's pie! You could put green beans and sweet peppers in instead too. Does DW eat smashed red potatoes? What about purple potatoes?

Maybe mashed cauliflower would work? Make them think it is a health food?

none of those weird red or green little things commercial fruit cakes have
would that be candied angelica (for the green bits)? No idea about the red if not cherry pieces. I used to dislike candied peel, but have grown to like it, along with preserved lemons and bergamot. Funny how tastes change through life...

Keep trying Ron, it is appreciated :D
Nope, no red potatoes, no purple potatoes. She will eat yams/sweet potatoes (actually likes those) but I'm not sure how that would be in a Shepherd's pie. I had it once in England; for veg they had peas and onions. It was good.

DW won't touch cauliflower with that same 10' utensil (DD1 will IF it is drowning in cheese), neither will DD2 but then I've already told you she pretty much doesn't eat vegetables. My family is a food desert :(
