Good afternoon Cafe.
Coffee is made.
Lovely cool morning early here. I could almost breathe properly again.
Lots of clouds have moved in now. May get some rain with a bit of luck.

I don't know who has been ordering all these storms, but I wish they'd check their "send to" address; the dratted things keep getting delivered here. They rumbled through so much last night, it was like trying to sleep in a train station.

It's going to hit 80F today but it's been cooling off nicely at night so I can get mom's house cool enough to be comfortable working in it for the majority of the day.

Have a look on Amazon. Most have clips. Some have eyelets to take buttons.

Oh, I know what you mean!
The 'eyelets' threw me off.....would have called them buttons holes, as they hold onto a button.

Did you mean the pudding or the teapot?

The term 'pudding' is confusing...
..even after watching dozens of episode of the Great British Baking Show.
Means 'dessert' of a certain kind?
Brown Betty is basically apple crumble, crunchy topped pie without a crust.
One of my favorite desserts, tho don't think I've ever made it.

Everything on the breakfast plate came from here except the avocado and goat cheese.

I guess you need some goats! Avocado trees won't grow there though so you can't be fully self sufficient.

No : Steak and kidney pudding should put that notion to bed! (It's more delicious than it sounds)
Typically a pudding is steamed or boiled, like Spotted Dick, or Treacle, Christmas or Steak and Kidney pudding. Some, e.g. Queen of puddings, are cooked in the oven but with a pan of water in there too, so sort of steaming again, for just part of the cooking process in that case. And they usually cook (or reheat) brilliantly in a microwave, unlike anything with pastry, which goes soggy.
