BYC Café

Good evening Cafe.
I've brewed up a pot of tea if anyone is interested. Too late for coffee for me.
Dog stapled. Donkeys foot drained. 23C with some threatening looking cloud that didn't leak in the end.
All the coop floors are covered in feathers. It looks like the hens are getting ready for winter. A few are still laying.

Hey everyone, mind if I join in? My husband and I live in Tennessee, close to the mountains. We just started with chickens this year when everything went sideways in March. Our chickens have just started laying and we are having a blast trying to keep up with them. We have six Barred Rocks. They are so much fun.

Welcome to the Cafe'. Coffee and tea are always available - sometimes even pastries. All served with humor and candor.

hello - welcome to the Cafe :frow Glad you're enjoying your chickens; we're all nuts about them too 🤪
Thanks for the tea Shad; just what I need before bed (it's dark here). Hopefully when I wake tomorrow we'll have a couple of chicks in the yellow coop... :fl

Heard a Crack and CLUNK earlier today when the winds first started.<cringe>
One of the 'hangers' fell and landed on the lower one that's still attached.
Before and after. Got lucky again!
