That's cheap.
It's not a lot of hair!
I don't get a wash; she dry cuts it and if we didn't prattle on the whole time, I'd be out in 10 minutes.
I give her $12 and the occasional dozen eggs.

When my hair was long they'd charge me 12-20 bucks just to trim the ends.
Guess it depends on where you are and what salon you use.

My last hair cut here was $20.00. I did not look to see if there was a covid charge

I used to have my hair cut short and permed every 6 weeks,
but a buddy did it in her home and charged me about 1/3-1/2 of salon prices.
Now I just buzz it all off myself with the dog clippers every couple months.

I should do that too!

I have my hubby chop off about 4-6" when it gets too long. I just want it long enough to tie back into a ponytail.

In my 20s, I got a horrible perm that fried my hair. One night I chopped it all off and flushed it down the toilet. the remainder was about 2" long, very choppy. A week later I got called back for a second interview. I got the job. No one said a thing...

A few weeks later, one woman said, "Sally, you're a nice person. We didn't know what to think of you when you started here."

My then-coworker now-husband thought I was a punker when he met me. :gig
