Good morning, Cafe', and thanks for the coffee DL. I've never seen as many deer mice as are around this year. I've caught a dozen or more in the basement, 26 in the beagle club clubhouse, and 22 in the beagle club pole barn.

Not sure what kind of mice these are.I think that deer mice are more cannibalistic than the European house mouse.
Wow, Sour. That's a whole lotta mice. I feel fortunate that I'm only dealing with so few. Well, I'm up to 8 now. I'll have to see how it goes after I install the longer door stop to block the gap.Good morning, Cafe', and thanks for the coffee DL. I've never seen as many deer mice as are around this year. Will have to look more closely...but IIRC the ones I've caught look like DL's pic.House mice are a dull gray color. Deer mice are a bright 'reddish' color. The ones in Tonya's picture are deer mice. Edited to add that juvenile deer mice are gray in color.
Possible. But the droppings evidence would indicate otherwise.Perhaps that 8 is only the tip of the 'mouse iceberg'.![]()
