still enjoying my hot fruit juices!Good evening Cafe.
I've made a pot of tea, especially for those who got caught out by the hot fruit juices.PG Tips tonight.
It seems to have turned a mite chilly here, down to 5C (41F) tonight.
Stove is on. Soup warming on the stove. Fresh olive bread warming above the soup and just to wind Perris up, I'm going to have Roquefort cheese with the bread.
Oh, would that be the "IRS agents' info is wrong 40% of the time" (as I recall it) from a few years ago?I was advised by the IRS rep I spoke with yesterday to use $0 for my 2019 AGI to get my 2020 return accepted.
You mean like the one time I paid a CPA to do my taxes and he screwed it up? Didn't see the paper that said a reconveyance should be treated as ordinary income and he decided it was capital gains? He would have gone to the audit FOR MONEY 3 years later when it happened and the agent explained the situation to me. Interest at the time was 18%, fortunately they decided I wasn't trying to cheat on my taxes so there was no other penalty. That was over 35 years ago and I've been suffering through the taxes (with Turbo Tax now for many years) since. You still have to get all the paperwork together for them, same as if you do it yourself. I recall my MIL saying they found errors pretty much every year with the CPA filled out forms. So not only do you get to pay them you have to know enough to see what they screwed up.Well, and they know all the rules, so stuff doesn't get screwed up like if I did them.![]()
I called my step-sister on Valentines Day for her birthday. She lives south of San Francisco not too far from the airport. She said California is letting the COUNTIES decide how to parcel out the vaccines. What a mess.I am 61 and the current tier is for 65 and up
Hmm...couldn't open attachment, but it shows up in the quote!
We are switching to the State for eligibility soon.Oh, would that be the "IRS agents' info is wrong 40% of the time" (as I recall it) from a few years ago?
Yeah let's just say after 30 years of earnings, all of a sudden you made no money in 2019. Must have been Covid hitting you a year early.

Whether you agree with it or not, at least in Vermont they have a statewide strategy and are sticking to it. None of this "call around and see if you can get a shot" stuff. All by age at the moment with a website and a phone number (if you can't do the web) to sign up for a specific time and place appointment. They just got down to the 70 and older group. Not sure if they'll get down to the 65 and older group before my birthday next month or not, seems like they might.
