We've got 12F this morning. Not fun weather to be working outside in but I have no choice. Frequent finger thawing breaks will be required.

The railings gave me fits. It's still not done. The post at the bottom of the stairs was out of plumb and I'm struggling with it. I think I'll have it plumbed up tomorrow and the railing done.
About a week ago the microwave was turning on whenever we opened the door. Very annoying. I ordered new door switches for it, they came in tonight, I replaced the one that was bad and the microwave works now. At least something went my way today.

Never new that severe decluttering could lead to muscle soreness.

That is what I currently need also. After a couple of days with wonderful warmth, the cold is back and our heating system stopped working several times over the last week and we did not notice until rather late because of us working mostly outside, cutting down trees, restructuring the chicken pens/runs etc.

When we came back to grab a coffee and hot meal, the house was rather chilly

Oil-fired heating system plus two wood burners.

Thankfully the wood burners heat up the living space rather quickly.
And a nice bowl of hot chicken soup does as well.
