BYC Café

When we went Paleo we cut the sugar and refined carbs cold turkey. After a few days, the cravings are gone. We don't have that stuff in the house so resisting is easy.
You can fall off the wagon fast with one taste of cake or something like that.

Trust me - I know all about addictive behavior.

I once read that lab rats that were fed with ample sugar and heroin diet to make them addicted on purpose, chose sugar over heroin when given free choice.

Made me reevaluate my eating habits. :duc
And experimenting I found out that having sufficient animal protein in my diet (venison and chicken or eggs) deadened or at least lowered my need for sugary stuff significantly..

Would this one work for you:
I like that. Any little boost to get going. I did get my mandatory chores done. It's the extra's that would help later or nice to do projects just to keep me busy and not have a long list of HAVE to do later.
I'm pretty easygoing about most things, but that is against the rules. Shirts are not allowed to just disappear. No way can I do that to friends.

my choices for these sacrifices are on the extreme end of buttonless/threadbare/not fit for outside viewing!
Most of my t-shirts that are not for public I still wear under my long sleeve Which I wear year round at work. They are a little cooler. After I rip the elbows out of the long sleeves they become at home sleeveless shirts (which don't actually stay at home) and sleeve rags.

Since when do you follow the Paleo regime? And which one exactly?
We've been Paleo for 3 years. Not purists but pretty good.
We don't eat processed food, artificial anything if it can be avoided, no grains, pasta, cereal, bread, peanut products, very little to no alcohol.
I cook. A LOT. I developed a calus on my finger from all the veggie chopping I do.
