BYC Café

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready... and a fire is indeed in the stove! :rant It's 39F out. Apparently, I've been teleported to Margie's backyard.
It's also been raining since 10 am yesterday and is expected to continue for several more hours before breaking for a bit then starting back up again, pretty much for the entire weekend.

Good afternoon everyone, and thanks for the coffee, DL.

Just what I expected: the weather forecast for today proved to be wrong and instead of the promised balmy temperatures with sunshine, we are facing another day of cold and ongoing rainfalls.

Why would I always fall victim to their fairy tales?

What do you have against asparagus? I wouldn't want that to be nailed either.
Ha! Nothing.
There will be a pound of purchased spears waiting for me,
they but a bunch to take to KS relatives,
as well as whatever I find in the garden.
It's just fairly sheltered and not as tender as the berries.

How low do temperatures have to get to impact strawberries? Aren't they pretty durable?
Not sure, but we shall see.
The flowers are more fragile than the fruit probably.
It was below freezing overnight, and the garden is low lying.
I didn't see any frost except on roofs here.
