Yesterday, our dog Mara had several grand mal seizures. We took her to Animal Emergency Hospital in Grand Rapids. Things were not good, and we chose to say goodbye to our lovely girl this afternoon.

RIP, Mara. You were and are much loved. We'll see you at the Rainbow Bridge with Shadow and Raven.

Sometimes there is nothing else one can do than letting them go peacefully.

How about planting some fast growing trees for some natural shade?

Good morning Cafe. Coffee is ready.
It's raining again.
The mower needs to go back in for repair and it's looking like a tropical wonderland in my yard again.
My nephew was intimidated by my workplace but I showed him all around and he wants to apply and give it a try. I kept telling him that he could do it. I wouldn't have recommended it if he couldn't.

There are sunchokes growing along the 'garden' sides of the run taht can provide great shade, but they are not growing quickly this year due to the dryness....and they may have been decimated by deer last year and some digger this spring.

My nephew was intimidated by my workplace but I showed him all around and he wants to apply and give it a try. I kept telling him that he could do it. I wouldn't have recommended it if he couldn't.

Hope he can make it thru his intimidation's and find some successes to propel him forward. He's got a good coach

Neglected mower.
Now that I have a great mechanic at a reasonable price and me with a means to deliver it and bring it home, it's going in for a full winterization every fall from hence forth!

I just came back from a nice bike tour with Ollie, he loves it and can't get enough, but I still have to go easy as he will be only a year old on Saturday.

Party-Girl gifted my a second egg yesterday, and I expect her to start weaning the chicks very soon.

Except I also have a neglected snow thrower!!
The neighbor comes over with his front end loader and scrapes 95% of the driveway whenever it's bad enough to need it. Without me asking and they refuse payment. That made me drop the priority of doing anything about the snow thrower.
