Maggie is at our daughter's. We're leaving for a short vacation tomorrow. First she's been away from us in 7 months. The house is empty without her.

It's amazing how much energy they take with them when they leave.

Raining again. It is possible with the fireworks and stuff, that the dog bolted and snapped the line. I have seen more than one case of that after the 4th for sure.
We even managed to rescue a dog who got tangled up with tree snags along a stream.
He was a few days from starving to death and so weak when we found him that we had to carry him and hike out. That was a chance discovery as we were not on a real trail, just following game trails and exploring.

Not according to the owner. The fireworks were over. He put her on the line at 11 and said that it was maybe 5 minutes before he went back for her. But who knows. I didn't see the rope so I'm just going on what he is saying.

He got a horrible case of fleas, guess Frontline Plus didn't work in TN.

Broody came down off the roost, almost full dark(no night lights),
and asked to go back into the crate, I mean nest.
I let her go in a nest, then put her in the crate. SMH.
