I have chainsaws! And know how to use them... Wish I could help you out, DL!
Good morning! It was hot down on the plains yesterday and then you could hear me whining. We were planning on helping out on the lower ranch and did get stuff done in the morning, but then after lunch, we spent the afternoon under the shade trees talking about how when it clouds up and cools off we can get back to it. At about 3 we were taking bets on the temperature. 102F with a feels-like of 113F, too hot to move, lol!
We finally just came back home and it was 75 wonderful degrees at my house and it took a few hours to recover and I slept like a baby. So today, we are staying up here and getting stuff done, mountain-style.
Enjoy the day and stay cool!

I just spoke to a NYSEG guy that was driving in front of me on my way home. He stopped to ask about my poultry netting of all things!
He said there is a 25-man crew working on our power grid right now but apparently the other side is the hill got hit even harder than us. He said winds were clocked at 90 mph up here. I don't know how that's possible to know without equipment up here. At least I now know they are currently trying to get us back on line. I offered to buy coffee for the crew when they get here.
