Good morning! It was hot down on the plains yesterday and then you could hear me whining. We were planning on helping out on the lower ranch and did get stuff done in the morning, but then after lunch, we spent the afternoon under the shade trees talking about how when it clouds up and cools off we can get back to it. At about 3 we were taking bets on the temperature. 102F with a feels-like of 113F, too hot to move, lol!
We finally just came back home and it was 75 wonderful degrees at my house and it took a few hours to recover and I slept like a baby. So today, we are staying up here and getting stuff done, mountain-style.
Enjoy the day and stay cool!

Our high today will be an actual 112F!

I am not going out except to check on the hens this afternoon

We have stretches to the 80's all week not real bad humidity stays like in the 40's

I got the brooder/growout pen done.

The access door isn't in the picture; it goes under the second nesting box. Crossing my fingers that putting the babies out there tomorrow goes well.
