Okay will quit lamenting how dry it is here ..

Do you get those often? We never have them here.

Thankfully no. But one went through about 20 years ago right along the same area we had an the downed trees from the storm that knocked out our power.

I can't believe my luck!
Astrid tipped over the edge!! I found her in a nest box and she puffed up when I reached for her and started ticking when I put her down.
She's moved down to the Ward and settled on the nest (not happily yet), but there are is, lower right corner.

And the hatching eggs arrived today.
I still gave them to the guy to start for me. He'll set them tomorrow after they rest. Once I have Astrid in the groove, I'll get the eggs and slip them under her.
Nice aim, Sour! And an early delivery no less.

Skilled labor is expensive, and they should be well paid....
...but there are plenty who will take advantage of that and make it exorbitant.

I agree, skilled labor should be well paid. Getting a second opinion estimate next week. This second guy is my neighbor's nephew, and has done a lot of work for him. 'Nuff said for a referral, for me.
