Crap do you ever not have the mites ?

Grain mites happen in Purina Flock Raiser in the summer here.

There's nothing as disheartening as reaching for your afternoon mug of coffee and glancing down to see a fruit fly bobbing around in it.

How about finishing your last sip and seeing that same fruit fly about to go down your throat.

Let's face it. We've probably all eaten a pound of insects over our life times. I just don't do it intentionally!

first motorcycle ride with hubby back in the day----(waaaay back!)
got totally grossed out seeing all the smashed bugs on my helmet---and wondering how many I had swallowed

I haven't had that happen yet but I keep my feed in the mud room closet.

Pretty sure they come with the feed from the mill,
and probably come to the mill with the grains.
The only summer they weren't in there was the time they added DE to the feed.
First time freaked me out, second time pissed me off.
Now I just add DE before taking feed to coop.

I have never used Purina just me but do not care for their business practices
