Morning and thanks for the coffee! I am very glad the storms were a non-event for you Upper Midwesterners. They even mentioned the possible "local hurricane" winds for you out here. We have one more day of heat and then it cools down and the chances of rain increase. I am excited to see the chick pics, DL! DS$ is off to wrestling camp for a few days and when he gets back, it will be time to knock down some more trees.

Today we were able to release our tawny owl into the wild!

At first she seemed puzzled and did not want to leave the carton, but when we tried a second time a while later, she took off elegantly, heading right for her favourite oak tree.

I am relieved that she healed completely.

We didn't even get enough rain to measure. It got the driveway wet. I will take that over the storm they were talking about, that's for sure! I feel like we dodged a bullet.

I will need to water the gardens soon. I can do that.
