BYC Café

We had a really nice dinner with a former coworker and her kids last night. We went to a restaurant in the town they used to live in (they've moved out to Maine), and the were busy (always are), and understaffed, like everywhere else. It took an hour to get a table, half an hour to get served. (I mean that as an observation, not a complaint.)

The food, as always, was great, and the waitress was EXCELLENT. She remembered who ordered what (6 people), even down to the "cherry coke with grenadine." I left a 26% tip.

We weren't in any hurry; we get to see these people once a year, when they drive out to visit family. We'll be going to visit them in 2022, we hope.

My Dh's boss gifted him (for me) 2 bales of straw and about (20) 6' fence posts.

Have I said how much I appreciate where he works now? :love The boss said he had "about 100 of the posts sitting in the barn, and the straw is from last year and this stuff has to go."

Don't cha love it when people are throwing out stuff that you want/need, and ask you to come take it away?

Now I need to go get a fence post driver so I can put them in myself. My prediction: I get ten installed and my arms give out. :lau

Hmmm. Why is my avatar grey now? It used to be purple. I like purple... grey, well... it's ok.

<----

Gee, Sally, don't you have anything more important to think about? Like, make another pot of coffee!
You can change that. Upload a picture for your avatar.

You mean like the house?
Yeah, I would consider that something important! Leaners are the worst.

Nice to see wildwife sometimes right ?
Assuming you actually meant wildlife and not Sour's memories ;)
Yes, as long as it isn't near my chickens!!!!

That avatar color looks like a really weak pot of coffee, I suggest you use more grounds.

My prediction: I get ten installed and my arms give out.
Depends on your soil!
