I need to see who goes in the little coop tonight .. Have been carrying 3 birds that use to be in there back there each night. Decided to leave those birds in their coop today not letting them out hoping they will say oh ya this is mine

Meet Freya! We brought her home last night. She's about 8 months old, we think. She's been moved around a lot in the last month, so she's a bit timid. She's a lover and a keeper!
If she does not calm down soon, you might consider rehoming her. Sometimes this is the best for everyone involved.DL, I've seen the "after pictures" of logged areas before; so NOT pretty.
On a happier note, I have a puppy sleeping next to me.
Chicken integration is going well, I think. We'll see how lockup goes tonight. I have the "mean" hen Lark (lowest in the pecking order, so she wants to peck the chicks non-stop) in a big dog crate. Right now she is stressed because she can't get to her nest box to lay. If it weren't for her, this would have been much easier...
She's just being a chicken.
Around here the use of logging horses is quite popular to avoid the mess and damage caused by the machines. The loggers are making a horrible mess of the forest.
How did it go?it's off to the beagle club as it's field trial time.
Have a great evening !It is almost 11 p.m. now, and I am off to give the La Fleche rooster his foot bath and wound care. We renamed him to "Socks".
See you all tomorrow!![]()
Wow!Good morning Cafe. Thanks for the coffee, Sour. Good luck at the field trial. How many dogs are you running?
Speaking of running dogs, I need to head out with mine.
The owners of the land with the cabin are having the land logged. The loggers are making a horrible mess of the forest.
The paths are all demolished.
Lots of standing trees damaged.
And they leave huge piles of branches behind that they don't want.

This huge wasp nest was scrapped off the back of the cabin a few days after the trees started to fall. I guess they don't like the results any more than I do.

This is just day one. I'll give her a week, if I have to. I really don't want to lose her.If she does not calm down soon, you might consider rehoming her. Sometimes this is the best for everyone involved.
