Good morning Cafe.
Thanks for the coffee DL.
I'm a bit more together this morning but extra coffee is appreciated.
Henry 11 is still standoffish. But, he does get close enough to capture now if necessary which is an improvement. He'll eat out of my hand. I have as usual offered him any treat food before the hens try to rip it out of my hand.

He's doing much more proper rooster stuff now he and his hens get out of that mud pit of a run every day.
The plan is to extend the run (that's why the posts have been dug out) to include the trees and another 80 square metres of ground. They'll still turn that into a bomb site but it will allow them to get under the trees and have a lot moore room.

Good Morning Cafe! Thanks for the coffee :)

Another day of working from home - smoke hasn't cleared enough in the university building enough to return yet.

Looks to be a beautiful cold sunny day in Halifax after yesterdays deluge. The poor chickens and ducks - and hubby - up in Cape Breton are dealing with hurricane force winds (regular winds that frequently get up to 130mph called "Les Suêtes) and rain for the next three days.

I got some leaves raked into piles yesterday, and the driveway cleared. Man, I had to rake the leave on the driveway off in layers, they get so compacted. And slippery.

Today I get the leaves raked and hauled down to the garden. And one other task...

A former coworker found a company golf ball in his memorabilia box. He has some not great memories about how he was treated when he was let go (Covid downsizing, not for performance). He asked me to shoot that golf ball with the largest caliber bullet I have as a comment and memento of being let go. It's going to go on his desk at home.

I told him I would consult with a world renowned expert on firearms to do this task justice.
