BYC Café

BOSS is black oil sunflower seed.
Took me a couple of months to figure that out!

I know a little about a lot of things but that's about as far as I go on a good day :gig
Me too!

Being a foreigner,
You aren't a foreigner, BYC is a global site. We are all "locals". :D

Forgot that the Princess baked blueberry scones last night - have one.
I'm in!

Another pullet might lay today! She's sitting in the nest box right now.
Yay!!!!! I'm still waiting. Nina (Black Australorp) looks like she might be the first based on her comb and wattles getting red. Not sure about the Ameraucana and "fails the standard" Ameraucana. I think the Gold Laced and Silver Laced Wyandottes might be moving along. They are supposed to be slower maturing but their combs are starting to redden up. No one is squatting though.

32 F here at 4:30 am. Supposed to be sunny and high 50's for us.

Danged contractor put us off again on the work he was supposed to do this week. Living in a small town, you don't have a very deep pool of (reliable) contractors of any kind to draw from.

I told the hubs he should do handy man work when he retires. The bar's not very high--all you have to do to best the competition is show up.

This is the part where I remind myself of the benefits of small town living and cheer myself up, right?
