Well, I don't know what to tell ya Bruce. They're the same desk. The hardware change is easy when you wood fill the hardware holes and sand them. The desk wasn't in very good condition when I bought it. You just can't tell in the picturesUm, those are not the same desk. The pulls don't match and if you had changed the ones on the LOVELY varnished wood to those on the painted one there would be visible holes.
Thus, I am confused
Yes. In person it looks much better than it did when I brought it home. Although when I waxed it, it brought up pink stain from the wood so I'll likely go back over it with BIN and touch up the paint. So you INTENTIONALLY painted it to look like it was old and in poor shape??
This is a quite popular technique called "Shabby chic".So you INTENTIONALLY painted it to look like it was old and in poor shape??
Just at the right moment, thank you, Penny!Brought a fresh pot of coffee
Now the finish on THAT desk is gorgeous!! If mine looked like that when I bought it I would have just painted the hardware black and that's it.
