Yeah, but, I shoulda known did know not to go there. SMH.
Just very, very, very grateful I got bailed out and the driveway is clear.

He's home.
He still feels bad but is a little better.
He's had IV antibiotic & simbadol for pain and we gave him 100 mls Iactated ringers subQ before we left. They sent him home with two more bags of fluids and I'm supposed to give him 200 mls subQ every 8-12 hours. My (nurse) sister said she'd help. He'll have to have subQ fluids until he can keep himself hydrated.
The bloody diarrhea keeps leaking out of him so he is on a puppy pad over a folded up towel.
The vet thinks he'll start feeling better late tomorrow or the next day.

The diagnosis is Hemorrhagic Gastroenteritis. It's cause is idiopathic.

He finally fell asleep and actually looks comfortable now. I'm exhausted. I think I'll join him...

I am glad he is home and able to relax now. These things are frightening and so exhausting, get some rest yourself too, Tonya.
